  • Ideas/Suggestions: I belive Bangladesh should use the talented students in the field of engineering to create electrical power-plant. Those who are doing their masters and PhD should work on these projects (should be funded by gov't): in that way the students would be professionals and the country would get benefit out from the educational system. Also, talented students don't have to go out of the beloved country for higher study and usually don't return home.

  • Ideas/Suggestions: Sorry to see how negotiations are going on against the greatest two culprits of the land, namely, Hasina and Khaleda. They had employed terrorists and miscreants as ministers, P.S., A.P.S. to assist them to create terror, indiscipline and destruction of the country and its masses. How can negotiations be held with such rogues? Shouldn't they have been black listed first and then tried under summary military courts and sent for hanging along with their accomplices (as all other BD courts take decades to give out a verdict and the so called lawyers are also most corrupt as the judiciary in BD itself is among the most corrupt - WB report). If cheaters in examinations are extradited/expelled for years for a simple crime against himself (the examinee), why deal so leniently with the greatest cheaters, thugs and terrorists of the nation? I very strongly felt that the first order of 1/11 should have been to disband AL, BNP, all ex-ministers & MPs from any future politics and elections as none (100%) of them have any clean records. Then this country would have achieved much more during the past 17 months of its CTG rule. Better late than never!! Can't CTG backed by our valiant armed forces blacklist and ban AL. BNP, all ex-ministers & MPs from all future politics even now taking into consideration their audacity and total non-repentance for their misdeeds and rather justifying their misrule by criticizing the current times. Let non-political, patriotic people with adequate education, experience, success in their current fields and vision come forward or be selected to lead our country throughout this 21st century. Let's introduce SELECTION as opposed to election to the world and let BD pioneer this concept as a successful model of governance. Let us lead, not follow demon-crazy (i mean democracy). Please keep in mind that all things are SELECTED; from peon to M.D., solder to General, Lower division clerks to Secretaries, husband or wife; all things in life are SELECTED. Why then elect the highest post of governance?? Really crazy idea

  • Ideas/Suggestions: We are disheartened to learn from your good offices that BD will be a middle income nation by 2021!!,i.e., another 14 years later. We couldn't afford it, dear Chief Adviser. If you are depending on the filthy corrupt bureaucrats to give you a prediction of when BD will develop, your conclusion looks probable. But if you make your own study & research without depending on the govt servants who sank our country into an abyss, you will agree that our beloved BD can be developed within five years, not 21 years. If within five years, you will live to see it; and if within the 21 years you mentioned, you and I and most of this generation will not see it. So no use making those predictions now. Kindly increase the salary scales in Bangladesh to five times the current level, and make law and order a top priority, Insha Allah you will see what miracles this country can produce. If you do not feed the nation with a healthy pay scale, how do you want honest work from them. I do not agree with your ACC Chairman Lt Gen Mashhood that only lectures and putting honesty in the curriculum will change our national character. A livable salary and strict punitive action for the corrupt can only turn this country into the Golden Bengal we cherish. Govt should not control, but give regulatory assistance. Also Govt should build infra-structure like mega ports, highways, electricity generating & exporting capacity including development of nuclear energy, make education system a center of excellence (as you said) and NOT centers of 'goondas of politics'; and leave the rest to private initiative. Insha Allah BD will turn around in no time. See that the Railways and BRTC have done nothing; while the private operators did introduce Nirapod, and other A/C luxury coaches, and Taxi Cabs matching international standards. But Govt control of taxi fares and bus fares have ruined them all. How can a taxi fare be only Tk.15 and Tk.20 for the first two KMs??? How can they survive and recover their investment. Let the operators decide the price and make cab operation competitive; let the govt propose a REALISTIC bus, taxi fare. We all hope and pray that elections will not destroy us as it is destroying Thailand, Kenya, Pakistan and also Kuwait, among others. Let us introduce good governance through SELECTION for the whole world to follow. Best regards.

  • Ideas/Suggestions: Dear Advisor, It is our pleasure to contact with you through Scholars Bangladesh. I was little concern about present Govornments action in several sectors. And one of the most important folio you deserve, it's also our proud. The concern about Canada mission and there office in Ottawa. As a president of Bangladesh Society S.C. it is our kind of responsibility to build strong relationship with both of the society that is our own Bangladesh and new one Canada. We do have very good and string relationship among us. The concern is we are about 50/55 thousands of Bangladeshi lived in Toronto, on the other hand there is only 2/3 thousands of Bangladeshi are leiving in Ottawa. That is our long time request to Honorable Foreign Ministy to consider the facts and cercumstance to have set up a visa council office here in Toronto. It is fact that in the year 2007, four family member were killed in car accident on the way to go Ottawa from Toronto to having visa to visit Bangladesh. It is not enough to just come every three month and try to solve that huge problem. Moreover, we have our high commission office in Ottawa is write in Downtown and the rent of this building is to high and on the other hand one of the smart high commisioner who bought an expensive and huge home where you can park 25 cars in the lown, and we have to pay for everything. I would request to you,Would you Please look after this metter seriously. Oviously it will bring wright services to the hard working peopele and save their time and money. At the same time we will save thousands of dollers just to shift office into the wright place in Ottawa. It would me excellent if you please inform me your action concerning this serious meter. Yours Truly Anwarul Kabir President Bangladesh Society S.C. Toronto, Canada kabir.88@hotmail.com

  • Ideas/Suggestions: One of the main problem that BD is facing right now is corruption, cause of that the money does not reach where it suppose to, it gets eaten on its route to where it suppose to where it needed the most. To face it, the government should set up board of trustees who is elected from qualified university professor by professor every year to oversee that every Taka is spent by government is actually reach where it suppose to reach.

  • Ideas/Suggestions: As you know, an earnest attempt is taken against the corruption to reform the country by the current interim government and many of corrupted businessmen are in jails and others are avoiding investment as well and our beloved country is suffering economic problems like major decline in investment, recession & inflation, now I think this is the time to act for all Bangladeshis to rebuild the economy where the NRB’s can take a huge part by extending their hands to invest in our country. And also a huge number of middle class people are also searching for better investment. But there is a very little places for them to invest where they can rely on, as both of us know the situation of our stock market & public limited companies. I am trying to make a solution for this problem by forming a social organisation where millions members will invest a very small amount of money each in a large business and conduct an economic revolution. I would like to call this micro investment. The formed company owned by million people will be governed by some expert advisors who are already well known patriot faces in our country like Professor Muhammad Yunus and some others. They will appoint paid employee to run the business and monitor them. The company will minimise the gap between the producer and consumer. Proper & expert management & marketing can be a great solution to control prices. Also no company in our country is involving themselves in producing food with the help of modern technology in a large scale, which can significantly reduce the cost and increase the bulk of production. This is very profitable as well. In Bangladesh most of our people lives on agriculture but most of them are illiterate and do not have the knowledge of modern technology. We can give them training, support, better seeds and market their product. If the project is successful we can invest in many profitable businesses and also can breakthrough the web of corrupted bloodsucking businessmen. We have millions of educated unemployed young people. We can make them backbone of our economic revolution by engaging them as our elite soldier for this economic war. Every few days our markets become the victim of syndicate who manipulate the market price which can be destroyed by this programme. My idea is to involve general people to become the main sources of economic power and taste the result of huge investment where most of our public companies are always try to avoid giving dividends to its general share holders. My another proposal for the company is to donate 10% of the profit to make many poor people self employed to earn there own money and get out from the curse of poverty I would like to call this as ‘HELP YOUR SELF BY HELPING OTHERS’ as our consumers will be sharing the donation by purchasing product from us. I also have an idea to arrange a lottery by which some of our investor will get back there investment & some percentage of investment will be also donated for poor by adding some premium on our investment. I named this organisation as SABAS (Social Association for Baglar Aganito Shantan), Shortly – SABAS Bangladesh and trying to generate support from public by making them our member and officially offer Professor Muhammad Yunus to become our leader for this programme through our website http://sabasbangladesh.8m.com/index.html . if he refused we have other ideas. We are now just at initial stage.
